Joana is an architect from Portugal. She earned her Master’s degree in Architecture from the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Porto (FAUP). After graduation, she worked as an architect in Portugal and Switzerland, gaining experience across diverse projects and scales. In 2024, she completed the Master of Advanced Studies ETH in Architecture and Digital Fabrication (MAS ETH DFAB) at ETH Zurich, focusing on computational workflows and robotic fabrication processes. Her work centers on integrating computational design and fabrication in architecture, with a focus on developing tools and workflows for robotic and human-robot collaborative applications.

Currently, she is teaching for the Master of Advanced Studies ETH in Architecture and Digital Fabrication program.
